Previously, Larry was the Chief Executive Officer of Open Up Resources, a nonprofit providing students and educators with equal access to rigorous, standards-aligned core programs with extraordinary support for English language learners. He joined Open Up Resources with a commitment to social justice and equity. His years working in and with the public sector, especially his time in education—most recently as Executive Vice President of K–12 Education at Pearson, the world’s largest education publisher—brought into stark relief the challenges for our nation’s poor and disadvantaged.

In addition, Larry has held management and leadership positions in information technology, public policy, corporate strategy, engineering, sales, marketing, business development, and consulting services functions.

A graduate of the University of Redlands, Larry completed the Senior Executive Fellows public policy program at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, after which he was appointed and employed as a Research Fellow.

He lives with his wife and the youngest of their five children in White Salmon, Washington.
