Product Manager - Full Time, Remote

About the Role 

This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience working for an early-stage, mission-driven technology company in a dynamic and fast-paced global environment, and have an immediate impact. The role will most likely change over time, including leading the strategy on assessing and developing future products. We’re open to discussing various employment and compensation structures. 

Job Duties

The Product Management role can be amorphous as it’s the glue between several parts of the organization. Within a fast growing organization focused on the pandemic, it can be even more dynamic than usual. Here is a list of duties that describe what you will be responsible for:

  • Own the roadmap for the entire platform that consists of end-user facing mobile apps, public health facing portals, partner integrations and analytics
  • Interface with customers to understand their needs and translate them into business requirements and product specs
  • Validate specs with stakeholders, drive prioritization, reduce surprises and improve predictability
  • Work very closely with the engineering team, help prioritize efforts, and stay deeply involved with the software development process and ops

Skills for an ideal candidate

  • Connector - ensures that people from different groups have the information and access to make great decisions
  • Deeply experienced with mobile app products
  • Preferred experienced with either consumer or healthcare product management
  • User experience focused - thinks carefully about workflow, the user's experience, and how systems work together
  • Great written and verbal communication to support async global culture
  • Protecting privacy is a principle that drives you

Ideal outcomes within 4 weeks

  • Develop a deep understanding of the vision, product offering, stakeholders, domain
  • Have written a draft spec and gotten feedback on it from most stakeholders
  • Have contributed meaningfully to delivering a feature on time
  • Triaged and groomed product & engineering backlog 
  • Have contributed meaningfully to the roadmap and helped discover a new insight
  • Know all the key stakeholders and have laid the foundations for great relationships with them

Ideal outcomes within 3 months

  • Own the roadmap, help socialize it across the company and our customers 
  • Managing solid relationships with stakeholders - CEO, Engineering, Customer Success, and, in collaboration with CS, key customers
  • Delivered a large complex features that drives high value
  • Implemented workflow improvements to streamline operations and data-sharing across departments and with customers

Location

WeHealth is a completely distributed team. There do seem to be a number of us in California, but that’s not required. Since we’re incorporated in the U.S., U.S. laws will apply in what we do. 

Compensation 

The cash compensation is at the level of early-stage startups (in the range of $50-80k a year), enough to cover expenses and to make work sustainable. We also offer very generous equity and very good health care and other benefits.

Timeline 

This position is needed immediately. This is a very critical role that we need to fill in order to help service governments and organizations that need these services.
